This guidebook has been prepared to help journalists in Pakistan attain a basic understanding of the laws that criminalize and regulate expression. Not all of the laws mentioned in this guidebook are specifically framed for the media industry and the press, but their primary function is linked to expression and thus, they remain highly relevant to the press. The guide is designed to give an initial introduction to the laws and should not be seen as a comprehensive guide.
