Media Matters for Democracy is seeking a talented and motivated Communications Manager to join our dynamic team in Islamabad. We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has excellent writing skills and a strong sense of aesthetics for digital layouts and publishing,
- Possesses exceptional attention to detail,
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of the tools and unique features of major social media platforms,
- Has a passion for digital activism and the ability to effectively engage in online advocacy.

Please note that this is a fully office-based position located in Islamabad. Candidates seeking remote or work-from-home opportunities will not be considered suitable for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, production, and coordination of communication materials.
- Design and implement communication strategies across all interventions.
- Regularly update MMfD’s social media accounts with engaging and meaningful content, while interacting with relevant stakeholders on these platforms.
- Establish partnerships and engage with team members and external stakeholders involved in the production of communication materials and campaign engagement.
- Maintain and update the organisational website consistently, ensuring that work is regularly posted for public access.
- Develop or update communication guidelines and ensure they are effectively disseminated within the team.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Strong, versatile copywriting skills in both English and Urdu.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage deliverables efficiently.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to take full ownership of assigned projects and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of best practices for writing and publishing on various platforms, particularly Facebook, X and Instagram.
Compensation
The salary for this position would be between 100,000 PKR – 110,000 PKR, depending on experience and qualifications of the applicant.
