Journalists who cover health are expected to be experts in most of these topics who can proficiently analyze the growing amounts of health-related data.
Media Matters for Democracy has designed this course to acquaint journalists with different aspects of the health beat and teach them ways to ensure quality reporting while covering health-related topics. The course comprises 4 units which take journalists through key components of reporting on health: principles, ethics, quality assessment indicators, and sourcing and research.
